Clara Halula Jackson
Specializes in:
Japanese Hair Straightening
Keratin Treatments
Clara trained at the San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology, graduating with a focus on esthetics and wellness.
After joining the salon in 2018, she found her interest in chemical treatments and became Patrick’s apprentice to focus on Japanese straightening and smoothing treatments.
With an initial background in styling and color for the Punk scene, Clara has a strong passion for vivid colors and creative projects. She loves taking abstract inspirations and turning them into fun and colorful styles for her clients. Clara has worked in the studios of CNBC and ABC7 as a stylist, preparing news anchors for their live broadcasts. Additionally, she has done styling for photoshoots with the Academy of Art University, assisting students with their projects for assignments and publication.
In addition to her expertise in chemical treatments, Clara has been training with extensions and is now certified in Bellami and Hotheads extensions. She focuses on natural and soft transformations using keratin-tipped (K-tip) methods, ensuring seamless and beautiful results for her clients.
When it comes to her specialty, permanent straightening, she shared: “Our approach should always be with the health of the hair in mind as our main priority. Straight hair isn’t right for everyone, but for those looking to stop struggling with their curls/waves/frizz and save valuable time for more fulfilling activities, I’m here to help.”
