Intelligent, engaging, vibrant, and focused, Sara’s interest in hair was a natural progression. Even as a child, she loved being around salons. Her passion is with the hairstyles of the 1930s and 40s, in fact, she used to work with San Francisco’s Art Deco Society. She also loves the color technique Balayage because it gives the stylist tremendous control and affords the client more color longevity. Philosophy about Hair: Sara loves working with short hair because a great cut can be so liberating. She favorsstrong,architectural lines with the shape achieved by masterful undercutting. This produces a polished look that requires less maintenance than long hair while retaining tremendous versatility.
Most important thing learned from her clients: “My clients want consistency,” Sara says, “but they also like to know about the latest trends, so I continue my education through classes and shows. This, they expect of me – as they should.” Sara also works diligently to know her clients well enough to ascertain whether or not they can handle a big change because sometimes, it’s better to ease into it. “Basically,” she explains, “I ask a lot of questions because my livelihood depends of reputation and reputation is established through successful and longtime, on-going client relationships.
