We look for models for different types of haircuts depending on where the student is in the syllabus. These haircuts include:
Sara has been teaching at Patrick Evan Salon for five years, sharing her passion for color and continuing education with the next generation of stylists. With experience across seven professional color brands, she brings a broad perspective to her teaching, combining a strong foundation in color theory and hair science with both classic and current techniques.
Her goal is to empower new stylists with the knowledge, dexterity, and confidence to approach every color service thoughtfully and creatively. Sara believes learning should be as enjoyable as it is rewarding, creating an environment where students can ask questions, experiment, build their skills, and have fun along the way. A lifelong learner herself, she is passionate about keeping education fresh, relevant, and inspiring.
Tess has more than ten years of experience behind the chair and trained with Vidal Sassoon. Her interest in hair started early — at three, she cut her own — and she has specialized in both cutting and color ever since, building complete looks from start to finish.
As Cutting Director at Patrick Evan Salon, she runs the haircut portion of our Academy. Sharing what she knows is central to how she works: she sets the cut each class is learning, demonstrates the technique, and stays with every model appointment to guide the student and make sure the finished shape is right for you.
