A great haircut grows out well, works with your natural texture and looks right on the days you don’t style it. Before any scissors come out, your stylist asks how you wear your hair day to day, how much time you want to spend on it and what you love or dislike about your last cut.
Our cutting team includes stylists trained in Vidal Sassoon precision and a former Paul Mitchell national educator, led by Cutting Director Tess Maurer, who also teaches the haircut program in our Academy. The salon’s own roots are classic San Francisco cutting: Patrick Evan began his career training with Yosh Toya on Maiden Lane.

New clients can request an appointment and tell us about their hair and the look they want, and we’ll match you with the stylist whose work fits. Returning clients can book their stylist online.

Yes. Many of our stylists both cut and color, so your shape and color can be planned together. Mention both when you book so we reserve enough time.
It depends on the shape. Shorter, precise cuts usually look best refreshed every six to eight weeks, while longer layers can often go longer. Your stylist will suggest a schedule for your cut.
